Thank you to Paul Murphy for plugging our upcoming fashion show at Ort cafe, and a marvellous dinner too!

Still finalising my outfits that will be appearing on the catwalk...

CC41

Red and white seem to be the colours of the moment for me. Couldn't believe I'd never noticed a CC41 label on my pillowcase before. Classic design!

The strangest thing I've ever made....

Recently I've been working on repairing/re-making a harp case for a member of the band Little Sister (http://www.littlesistermusic.co.uk/). I finished it before xmas and have been meaning to put photos up for a while. It is indeed the strangest and most challenging item I've made!!

Grandma Chic will be doing a workshop for the lovely people at COW (Creative Open workshops) upcycling, customizing and reinventing old frocks, jumpers and whatever else comes to hand! Still a bit nervous about it, but that's probably a good thing. It's all rather exciting! You can find out more about the workshops (there's some lovely things on offer! ) at http://www.creativeopenworkshops.com/

In the meantime, here's something I customized as an example....(left = before, right = after)

Birmingham Vintage Fair

Thank you to all who came to my stall at Birmingham Vintage Fair last month. I had some lovely comments and it was great to receive such support! There was a great mix of stalls and really friendly atmosphere. A lovely day was had by all and hopefully I will be doing the next one in February. Visit http://www.birminghamvintage.co.uk/ to find out more and take a look at the other stall holders (who were very supportive and lovely). The photographs below were taken by Keith Bloomfield of Hardluck Hotel who kindly let me use them. You can find more of Keiths work at  http://hardluckhotel.co.uk/ . Stay tuned for more magic....
